Oliver and Daddy “reading” a story. (Or, Oliver pointing out Tinkerbell and the boy who is flying, and the moon, and the water, and Wendy, who looks like Mommy.)

Also…yay, this makes four solid months of my 365 days of pictures project!

Five pounds!

My weigh in last night went much better, thankyouverymuch. Down another 1.4 lbs for a total of 5. Even got a star and recognition at the meeting.

I wish it was more, I’m not going to lie, but I’ve been tracking and staying within my points for three weeks now. I just need to keep on rolling with it and trust that it will work.

And that’s five pounds in three weeks. If it continues this way, I’ll be down twenty more by the time we go to the beach. Which will make me feel slightly better about wearing a bathing suit.

All three of them

Instead of putting these things into three different posts, I’ll share their common likes/dislikes here.

They all like:

– Toy Story and all of its characters
– Standing up in the tub
– When Daddy makes pretend barfing noises
– The Itsy Bitsy Spider
– The part in Shrek where he’s fighting off all the knights (known as “favorite part!” here)
– having their blankie draped over them just before going to sleep
– going to the pub and eating chips and drinking juice
– going to Grandee and Larry’s house, or Granny and Grandpa’s
– fruit snacks
– Band-aids
– DVD cases (yes, still)
– medicine

ABC World News

They all dislike:

– Sitting in the tub
– Stinky the cat
– Wind
– Rain (and sprinklers)
– Broccoli
– Shirts with collars

They all talk all the time, sleep great, are good boys, and have the sweetest dimples you’ll ever see.

I am such an enabler. I got the boys Toy Story pajamas. I guess I can’t complain when they want to watch it again.

Now for my baby boy, Miles.

Miles…born on December 4, 2007 at 6:56 am. He was Baby A, but ended up being born last, becoming Baby C. He hung out on my left side in utero, and hated when I had to sleep on that side. He’d squirm and punch me until I moved. Weighed 4 lbs, 3 oz and was 17 inches long.

Baby Boy C

Things Miles likes: food, fifty toys in his crib at night, splashing in the tub, hopping, his binky, his Yo Gabba Gabba t-shirt, dumping water from cup to cup, dancing, Chloe, his Peter Pan book.

Things Miles does not like: wet hands and face, having clothes on.

Miles excels at: using his mischievous grin to get out of things. He is the only one who will eat vegetables regularly.

Miles has a memory like a steel trap. He remembers everything.

Miles has both the sweetest nature and the most fiery temper. He was the first to smile, but if he’s mad, he’ll be red-faced and screaming, with tears plopping from his eyes.

How does Miles look different? He furrows his brow a lot. He’s a little smaller than the other two. He has that grin.

Now, it’s Oliver’s turn.

Oliver…born on December 4, 2007 at 6:55 am. He was Baby C, laying at the top of my belly, close to my heart. I don’t know if that’s why he’s a Mama’s boy, but I like to think so. He came out second, and became Baby B after he was born. Weighed 4 lbs, 10 oz and was 17 inches long.

Baby Boy B

Things Oliver likes: His thumb, doing things HIMSELF, Mommy. Bossing his brothers around.

Things Oliver does not like: stuff in his crib, getting reprimanded.

Oliver is probably the most advanced talker of the three. He’s also the most sensitive. If he gets reprimanded for something, even mildly, he stops, his eyes well up, and the lower lip comes out. Then he cries. It’s kind of cute, actually.

How does Oliver look different? He has his Oliver face. A little forlorn, a little questioning, and his thumb is probably in his mouth.

Classic Oliver face

I started writing these posts, and it was a lot harder than I expected it to be. To be honest, it’s disheartening a little that I can’t easily list the differences between my children. Can other parents of multiples relate to this? Particularly identicals?

This should come as no surprise, but each of my boys is different. They may look the same and share the same DNA, but they have their own quirks, habits, and talents. I thought I’d highlight them in their own posts. And I’m starting with my firstborn, Linus.

Linus…born on December 4, 2007 at 6:54 am. He was labeled Baby B early on, but soon nudged Baby A out of position and therefore ended up being pulled out first, and becoming Baby A himself. Weighed 4 lbs, 10 oz and was 17 inches long.

Baby Boy A

Things Linus likes: Buzz Lightyear, putting his own clothes on, his binky, Mickey Mouse.

Things Linus does not like: yogurt, getting his nightly breathing treatment, dirty hands.

How does Linus look different? He has a rounder face than the other two, and his hair parts of the opposite side.

Isn’t this the most adorable/pathetic thing you’ve ever seen? Miles was throwing a hissy fit over raisins. Soooo dramatic, that one!

A video for today. The boys chatting with me while they go upstairs.

My littlest blog reader.

How did I not notice this? Apparently my youngest son reads my blog. My friend Jennifer pointed out that, duh, a few posts down, I’m wearing an Easter bucket on my head (circa 1996.) Miles apparently got the idea from me. Ha ha ha! Hilarious!

We had a nice weekend. The weather was horrific for the first part of it, but after the storms passed, it was just gorgeous.

We went for a walk…

And fed some ducks…

And ate popsicles…

And went to the park…

And ate chips at the pub…

Afterwards, we went to George’s school’s fair, but I didn’t take any pictures there. We let them play some of the games, and they won pinwheels, which they used for sword-fighting. Sigh.

Oh, and I found some old pictures and videos of the boys.

My mom and siblings feeding the boys – it was the weekend of the christening, so they were 4 months old here.

The boys were about 8 months old here:

And oh my goodness, these videos from when they were three months old…gah!
