My mom got me a couple of these plastic Adirondack chairs for my Easter present. I’m so glad I’ll be able to sit outside and read this week while I continue to recuperate. The weather has been so beautiful, it’s been torture to be cooped up inside.

I know this probably doesn’t look very exciting to you, but to us, this is very exciting. Actual work is being done to this old school! Hooray! There have been many false starts over the years, but this is the first time we’ve seen real progress. So exciting!

Is it a bulletproof vest? Nope! (Well, maybe it is bulletproof, I wouldn’t doubt it.) It’s my new back brace! Just to wear if I’m sitting or standing for any period of time. It’s actually pretty comfy. Keeps the pressure off my incision, which is nice, and forces me to have excellent posture. Heh.

And now I know why I wasn’t able to turn the light off. He’s kneeling on the button. Argh! (Which means I owe my friend new batteries and a light bulb.)

You know why I picked this picture from our triplet group’s annual Easter Egg Hunt to use as my picture of the day? Not because all of the kids are in it (they’re not) or because my kids are standing together (they’re not), and certainly not because it’s a technically great picture (it’s definitely not), but because of the mom in pink in the back, holding all three of her adorable 7 month old boys. Go Jackie!

Linus got a GIANT scrape on his knee, but was a very very brave boy when Daddy cleaned it off and put a big bandaid on it.

Oliver and Miles were checking out the action at the building across the street. It’s being renovated into a home for the elderly. We’ve been waiting for years for something to be done with this beautiful old school, and honestly, I am so glad it’s not being turned into condos or a hotel.
