I took the boys to play at a friend’s house today. Linus looks like he’s giving the evil eye to her little boy, but they actually got along pretty well.

Oh, and that pajama top? He’s been wearing that pretty much non-stop for the past four days. (It has been washed.)

A toast! To my friend Ren’s Fancy Dinner Party. We made up fake names for everyone and spoke in fake British accents. I was Prudence Walberswick, dahling.

I had lunch at Commander’s Palace on Friday with some friends. One of whom I guess didn’t want to be in this picture.

It’s friggin’ cold here.

(And yet I *still* got up at 5:30 and walked 5 miles with my friend Mary Catherine. Yes indeed. I am either awesome or crazy.)

One reason I’m not focusing on the boys for this 365 project is so I can share more of the other parts of my life. Like these two ladies. Between the three of us, we have ten kids that were born in the same 48 hour period. (Triplets, triplets, quads. We made the national news for that feat.) We try to get together every month or so for dinner and (less and less frequently) to talk about our kids.

Tonight we gathered at Stephanie’s house for wine, paninis, and a roaring fire. Pardon the somewhat surprised/unnatural looks we have here, I blame that on the self-timer. Heh.

It’s been a while…

…since I’ve done a post longer than a picture + a few words. Let’s see what I can come up with…

Here are a couple of short and funny videos from Friday afternoon at the park.

Oliver:

Miles and Oliver (and Linus at the end)

On Saturday, we went to check out a new school that’s opening in the fall (oui, oui, it’s a French immersion school) and then we had not one, but two birthday parties to attend.

Then yesterday was my birthday. George got up with them and fed them breakfast (WOO HOO!) and we lazed around the house all morning. Then we brought the boys to Granny & Grandpa’s so that we could go see a movie. We saw The King’s Speech. It was incredible, I highly recommend it.

Circumstances dictated that we didn’t get to go out for a meal, hence the Whole Foods spread I posted yesterday. That was nice, but I still have a hankering for some Pinkberry. Maybe tomorrow…

I got lots of great presents. A new purse from my IL’s, a generous Amazon gift card from my mom and Larry, some earrings from my sister, a box of Trader Joe’s goodies from my brother and SIL, and a Bluetooth thingy for my car from George. Yay! I do love presents!

Okay, one more picture of Miles and Linus in their pink socks to close out the post:

Linus and Miles were trying to push the tree down. Yeah, they were each pushing towards each other. Just as well for the poor tree, I suppose.

My birthday dinner, since our plans didn’t exactly work out as I’d hoped. But still, who can complain when there is Butternut Squash and Crab Bisque, bread, cheese, and creme brulee? And a tiny bottle of Prosecco that I forgot to take out for the picture?

We went to Millie’s third birthday party today. Or friend’s daughter Mae has an aversion to the Happy Birthday song. I love the drama that being six years old can bring.
