Oh silly me. Well, it wasn’t uploading from my house this morning. And I have dialup at home, so it was sloooowwww and irritating. Oh wait, no, that was yesterday. This week is crazy busy at work. I finally got to lay eyes on the people I deal with every day. Weird. (Seriously. One of them looks like Dr. Evil. But he’s nice, so it’s okay.)

Tonight Polly and I are watching Sex and the City! Yay! And sad, because there aren’t that many episodes left. What am I going to watch after the spring, when there’s no more SATC and no more Friends? That’s pretty much all I watch on a regular basis. Oh, and Average Joe. Sad because the guy from New Orleans was already kicked off, on the first episode.

Two days until birthday. Work will be long that day. As it was today. Sigh. Must think of all the overtime….(and the bills.)

Fun weekend, and yay, Friday’s my birthday! (Should I yay about that? It’s my last birthday in my twenties. How strange. But I’m not seriously stressing out about that. It’s just weird.)

Let’s seeee…Friday night, George and I went to this new Chinese buffet on the West Bank. Disgusting. Well, not completely gross, but it used to be a Shoney’s, and you can tell. It was just weird. We went to the pub afterwards, but George left after a little while because he wasn’t feeling well. I suppose from dinner, but I felt fine. I think he just ate too much. So I stayed at the pub for a while, hung out with Polly and Colin and Lindsay and her sister. It got pretty crowded, and I left a little while before midnight.

On Saturday, Terry and I went to the Navy base, to the exchange. It’s like the best store in the world. Love it. So cheap! And then George and I went and picked out new glasses for him – I swear I picked out the pair he got, but he insists I didn’t. Hmmph. After that, Terry and I went to Metairie to return something for her computer, which I’m attempting to fix up for her. Then we went to the Babies r Us store and scanned some more stuff for her registry. I was paranoid that people would think that I was the pregnant one, but since she’s quite obviously with child, I may have been overreacting. But she let me scan the stuff, which was fun. And which also made me realize just how expensive babies are. Very. Went to the pub that night. Lots and lots of LSU fans. Don’t know how they found the pub, can only imagine they spilled onto the ferry and wandered over. Hmm. I left just as the Oklahoma fans were getting there. Whew!

Sunday was just relaxing. I went to Walmart to get some groceries, but other than that, I didn’t do much. Watched Notting Hill instead of the game, though I did pause the movie and flip to the game every so often to see how LSU was doing. Yay, they won. Should I be more excited for my alma mater? Eh…I didn’t care much about it while I was there – and I was there for a long time – so I don’t see why I should care now. Nevertheless, it’s pretty cool that they won.

Oh, and here’s a picture of my necklace that I’m finally uploading. It’s turned on its side a bit. Gorgeous, eh? Note: not actual size. Ha ha.

Happy New Year!

We had a nice NYE. Went to a party at Ross & Raul’s, very nice, as usual. Lots of yummy food. Fortunately, the dress I wore was too big (originally bought for NYE 2000 when I weighed approximately 30 lbs more than I do now) so I could stuff my face with all manner of delicious food, especially Terry’s sausage balls. Oh yum. Must eat now, for I am joining Weight Watchers as soon as humanly possible. Probably not next week, because it is my birthday, and I will not count points or any such nonsense on my birthday, but the week after. Yay. Must be svelte for sister’s wedding. She’s been engaged four, maybe five days and is already giving me maid-of-honor duties to fulfill. Sheesh. But I’m excited for her.

Love the weekend! Love these holidays when you work a bit, have a break; work a bit, have a break, etc, etc. Unfortunately, that is about over. But my birthday is in one weeeeek!!!
