Jack babysits while the boys take a bath. He’s trained as a lifeguard, so I was pretty confident leaving the boys in his care for a few hours.

Poor Andrew. He is horrified by the bags under my red, puffy eyes. I shouldn’t have subjected a sweet tiny baby to that. (I burned my eyeball with the wrong contact lens solution shortly before this photo. Oops.)

I took the boys to Build-A-Bear to get Andrew a bear for his christening gift. We dressed him in Lightning McQueen jammies (of course) and named him Frinkeldinkel (naturally.) The boys had a blast in the store, until the giant bear came out, and then they refused to walk anywhere near the front of the store. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?

On Friday, Kiki was brave enough to let the boys paint on her back deck. See that grumpy face on Miles? That was pretty much par for the course that day. Yeesh.

The boys turned 44 months old on the day we left for a week-long trip to Virginia. It was the second-most exhausting trip of my life (the first being the road trip Kristina and I took to San Antonio with them when they were 5.5 months old) and started with Miles barfing all over me on the plane.

Good times.

Day 2: What I wore today.

I’m not going to show you what I wore to work because it’s not worth mentioning. But here are my running shoes, all ready for boot camp!

I’m taking part in a 30 day photo challenge with some friends, with each day a different theme. Today’s theme was "self-portrait", and since I was home with a sick Linus, I had time to play with my new reflector.

And let me say that getting your own eye in focus is very very hard.

While a sick Linus stayed home with Daddy, I took Oliver and Miles to the children’s museum. They loved playing in these two side-by-side houses. I loved being in the air conditioning.
