We went to a classmate’s birthday party on Saturday and the kids "panned for gold". So cute! Love all these sweet little boys. It was great to catch up with them and their parents, a whole week and a half after school ended.

The boys got some new toys in the mail for me to review for the blog. They were big hits, but you’ll be reading more about those later…

Uh. A yellow guy. Not much going on here today.

The other day, at Miles’s request, I bought a bag of green apples. I mean, the kid ASKED for the apples, so it seems SLIGHTLY reasonable to assume he’d eat said apples, right? No. That is ridiculous, Pam, why would you think such a crazy thing? I put an apple in their lunch yesterday and they came back pristine.

So I suggested that we make applesauce. They’d actually been asking to do it for a while since they saw it on Sid the Science Kid. So we make the apple sauce. They helped peel the apples and put the sugar and water and cinnamon in the pot. I even let them puree it with my stick blender.

Would they eat this delicious applesauce?

Of course not.

Sigh.

Awww, look how sweet Linus is being with Ann Fran. Aw! (She doesn’t seem terribly fond of the swing, though. I think this was her first time on it.)

The boys outside the ice cream parlor where we went to a birthday party. Only Miles ate any ice cream. Are these my children?

God, I love these blue eyes. Esp with those rosy lips.

We really need a new sofa.

Last day of school! I really really loved their teachers this year. Not to be too terribly corny, but I’ve learned a lot this year too. And I don’t just mean French.
