Ketchup: 365 in 2014

Oh, I haven’t been very good about this, have I?

I might have been a little overzealous in my removal attempts. I have always hated this stupid tile backsplash, but it looks like the bird doesn’t want to leave. We’re going to have to cut the sucker out. Worth it.

Went on a bike ride and ran into (thankfully not literally) my sweet Ann Frances!

Making shadows at Miles’s baseball practice. Oliver and Linus have been coming to them for one reason – the snack bar.

At least they’re not fighting over my iPads.

Wondering if this will make a more authentic Pimms & Lemonade than Sprite does. Only one way to find out!

Not my new countertops, but these are the reason I got the itch to change ours. Can’t wait! (And no, I didn’t take many pictures on Friday. Ha! Kinda scraping the bottom here.)

I can’t help it. Every time Miles has a baseball game or practice (or when Linus played soccer), I turn into mush. Everything just seems so sweet. Like when they “take a knee” while Coach is talking to them. I mean, they’re just talking about the next drill, but something about it gets me. Maybe because I’m so proud of Miles for coming out of his shell? Who knows, but it’s adorable.

I guess it’s because I have what I have always considered boring brown eyes, I find the boys’ eyes fascinating. I’m probably jealous of them, to be honest. But it means I’m obsessed with capturing the color: blue-grey flecked with a golden amber in the middle. Still not perfect, but I’ll keep trying.

SAMSUNG CSC

I was pretty sick Thursday, so George brought Miles to his game while I stayed home with the other two. And what a game to miss! Miles was “pitcher” (not that he pitched – it’s Coach’s Pitch) and he got someone out at first, he got a hit, and most importantly, he got the game ball! I can’t believe I missed this game. Sad.

Got myself a new lens for my mirrorless camera. This one’s 50-200mm, so will be good for Miles’s baseball games. Also takes good pics of our back fence, which I recently attempted to camouflage with reeds. Scintillating, I know.
