It’s Miles week around here.

Miles had his first baseball game of the season Tuesday evening, and after a rocky practice on Monday (he didn’t want to participate at all) I was so happy to see him having fun, talking to the other kids, and actually playing during the game. I was so proud of him, and the sweetest sight was seeing how proud he was of himself after the game.

We put Minecraft on a computer for the boys.

I went for a run at Audubon Park because it was unseasonably cool (in the 50s!) I stopped to stretch and felt all patriotic.

Andrew and my sister spent the night. He is pretty darn cute.

Another crazy day. Miles had evaluations for baseball, which I really thought was going to be cancelled, but wasn’t. The skies opened up when it was almost over, and thanks to my rainboots, at least my feet stayed dry.

Oh man, I have a lot of catching up to do, don’t I? It’s been a busy week. For instance, on this particular day, I had to ride around the neighborhood until I found a mailman (erm, postal carrier) so I could mail off some paperwork to the mortgage company. There’s one!

I was helping stuff swag bags for an upcoming event for the New Orleans Moms Blog. This t-shirt is going to be in it. Funny.

Mother of the Year, right here. I totally forgot I was supposed to pick up the boys from school on Tuesday. It wasn’t until 5:30 that I realized I needed to. And school is at best 30 minutes away. Somehow I managed to get there right when aftercare closes, but the boys were understandably hungry, so we went to the nearby Whole Foods for some sustenance. Oh, and that mistake cost me a pretty penny. Aftercare = $13/hour/kid. Ugh. Expensive mistake.

Ann Frances in orange Crocs always makes a Monday morning better. Especially a Monday morning where you aren’t drinking alcohol or eating sugar or chips or queso, but hey, guacamole on all the things!
