Didn’t run much this weekend. To be honest, haven’t gone running since Thursday morning. Friday morning, I just needed to sleep and we went out Friday night, so I wasn’t up to running Saturday morning, and then I went to Baton Rouge on Saturday afternoon, so running was out then too. But yesterday Ren and I went to the Tulane gym and I did a bit of cross-training. 30 minutes on the bike and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I did the treadmill first, I think I would have done better on the bike first to warm up, but I sweated a lot and my heart was pounding, so I got a good cardio workout no matter what. I’m so not used to gyms that I get a bit flustered. I could have gone longer on the treadmill, but I was thirsty, and my water bottle was on the ground and I didn’t want to stop the treadmill to take a drink. I didn’t notice until it was too late that there was a drink holder built onto the treadmill. Sigh. Next time.
Also, I may have a new training partner at some point. Kristina’s friend Virginia from law school is training for a half Ironman triathalon in May, and she needs a running partner. And Kristina told her I was slow, and she said that was okay! Yay!
Chris did his 19.5 mile run this weekend, and he said he’d drive to New Orleans when I have to do one of mine so we can do it together. Woo hoo!
