So let’s see…here we are, less than a week before Christmas. Lots to update on.
Like…Linus has some kind of viral rash, possibly Hand, Foot, and Mouth. So says the pediatrician, but I’m not 100% sure I agree. Not that I went to med school, or anything. Nor have I been a pediatrician for like 40 years. But still. I have my reasons. Not that it really matters, anyway. Not much we can do except control the itching. Poor monkey.
The poor child has had so many rashes. That’s his wheelhouse. He had his amoxicillin rash as a baby, then poison ivy last year, some random rash two weeks ago, and now this. Poor monkey, he was just miserable today at the doctor’s office, wailing in pain. 😦
Working backwards…yesterday, we all went to the zoo. Linus was complaining that his tummy hurt, but I didn’t realize he meant the skin on his tummy hurt. But we still had fun, looking at the animals and all that. Here’s a giraffe.
Some randomness…
I cleared off the mantle to make it a bit more festive. I love the boys’ school projects up there. Oh, and Maury-Frank!

Oh, how could I forget? Saturday morning was devoted to decorating the gingerbread house I bought earlier in the week. I didn’t read the instructions ahead of time, which was stupid because I failed to realize you have to let the house dry for several hours after assembly. That does not make impatient four year olds very happy. But they managed to not go completely insane.
Note I only show one side of the house in pictures. Three little boys might have eaten a few of those gumdrops and not left enough for decorating. Ah well!
They enjoyed introducing their Gingerbread Man toy to his home:

After the house was decorated, I gave the boys a bath and took advantage of the clear light to get some photos. You know I love me some bath photos!
Love those boys! Can you believe this was almost four years ago?

Sigh…
Saturday we stuck around the house a bit more, but we did go out in the evening to see some Christmas lights. The boys loved that.

Oh..guys so sorry about Linus..what a brave little guy…my neighbors grandbaby had something simular: hoof–mouth…that’s what the Dr. said Finn had. Gone in 24 hours..I’m just saying..
You looked like you guys had a great weekend….Kisses and sugar plums in your dreams…Hang tin there little buddy, Linus…..

Oh My – poor little man. Kye had just the ‘mouth’ part about 6 months ago and it did clear up pretty quickly…thank goodness. Hopefully Linus will be better soon and this is the one time that we would ask he not share with his brothers, right? Take care and Merry Christmas!

FYI–My daughter had hand foot mouth a few weeks ago….we are hoping what remains is not scars. What I see in the picture looks nothing like what she had. Hard to tell for sure with the scratch marks….but I agree with you.
