Watch it, kid. Keep making those eyes at me and I’ll take you home with me. I don’t think your mama would appreciate that.

Obviously a slow picture day…

But I had to take a picture of the tree that Isaac knocked down, so there you go.

How many backlit, sun-flared pictures of Miles at restaurants can I get in a row? At least this one has Linus too, so it’s a little different…

Kristina and Mike came to town for the Redskins/Saints game this weekend and we all had a bit too much fun in the French Quarter on Saturday night. Good times! They were especially pleased by the outcome of the game, as you can imagine.

I have to confess, I didn’t even take this picture. But I love it so much, I had to use it for the picture of the day. Millie’s dad ("Uncle David") picks the kids up from school, and he brought them to get snowballs on Friday. Lucky kids!

I just want to shave some numbers on the top, there. Brilliant!

And anyone who says it’s evil doesn’t realize that it’s MORE scarring when other kids don’t know their names at all. Maybe initials would be better, though. Hmm…

The Carpool Chronicles for September 6, 2012

IMG_7889.jpgToday was day five of carpooling, and we now have an additional passenger, a big ol’ Kindergardner who lives in our neighborhood. It’s funny how much older he seems. So now we have five kids, and holy cow are five kids ever loud! Thanks to Kiki for teaching the boys about the Medium Game. Because a carful of four and five year olds don’t necessarily take well to the Quiet Game. They’d much rather play the LOUD GAME. But Miss Pam does not like that game. So the Medium Game it is. Who can talk the most “medium”? It’s genius because it takes the pressure off the kids to be silent, and still lets them run their mouths. Just (relatively) quietly.

Genius.

Now I come to you for help. The kids like to tell jokes, but they’re terrible at it. Ha. So I want to teach them some simple, short jokes appropriate for 4 and 5 year olds. Knock knock jokes especially. So please share your favorites in the comments.

Went to Sam’s after work to restock the fridge/freezer after Isaac, and I saw these dog toys. Notable because they’re the same as the boys’ Halloween costumes! Miles will be Ironman, Oliver will be Captain America (but without the circle thing, please Mommy), and Linus will be Spiderman.

Does this mean I have to be the Hulk?
