It being All Saints Day, and seeing as I work for a Catholic organization, we got the day off. I love having this day off, but it’s not like I got to sleep in or anything. I still had to bring the boys to school. So after I dropped them off, I stopped by my friend’s restaurant and had a cup of tea. I was sitting by the window on this gorgeous morning, the server brought me the paper…ahhh, it was heavenly. If only I could start every day this way!

I mean, seriously? How awesome is this picture? Doesn’t it look like my uncouth boys are catcalling and harassing the pretty princess Chloe? Love.

I spent a lot of Saturday taking photos (I did a family photo shoot for a friend that I’m very happy with) but this one, just taken with my cell phone, is worth remembering. Oliver was telling great-grandpa Sam about Thomas. It can take the boys a while to warm up to people they don’t see very often (and even people they do) so I was happy they finally did with Grandpa Sam.

A cold front rolled in, and I love how you can see it getting colder.

(I know, lame, right? But I didn’t see the boys after they went to school, so this is what you get.)

Does this look like a menacing gang of tricycle-riding thugs, or what?

(Darn those dimples for ruining the effect!)

My sweet Andrew. My sister and her family came to Kiki’s house for (yes, homemade) breakfast so I could see Emily and And-a-woo (as the boys call him). 8 months old and so so so sweet!

One of the awesome benefits of having Kiki as a best friend is the meals she cooks for you when you come to her house. Maybe it helps that we live 1000 miles apart. So yeah, those coffee-marinated bison short ribs, the smoked gouda mashed potatoes, and the spinach souffle were all for ME ME ME!
