While we were at the grocery store, the boys sat on bikes for the first time. I so wish we had room for bikes, and somewhere for the boys to ride them. So cute.

I spent many hours on the patio at my mom’s, waiting for this little guy to show up. I feel like we kind of bonded.

Had to get out of the house. Went to a park, ran into another family from the boys’ school. Small world. Linus is climbing the big rope web here. Appropriate, since he’s the one who wants to be Spiderman for Halloween.

This thing kept us sane during Isaac. Fortunately, we only lost power for about six hours, but how nice it was to have some lights, be able to charge batteries, and keep the fridges cool.

Isaac was slated to hit the evening of the 28th, so we spent the day visiting friends who live near my mom. Remember little August? He and the boys share a birthday, and he is just the sweetest baby ever.

(Also, today was my sister’s fortieth birthday. My OLDER sister.)

Found a card reader at my mom’s house, so I can finally catch up! Can’t edit, though…

Took Miles to the park all by himself. Love the one-on-one time.

Sunday was my brother and niece’s last day in town, so we took the kids to LSU (both my brother and I graduated from there) to wander around campus a bit. I am not terribly nostalgic about college (at least not the academic part, ha ha) but it was neat to see some old familiar places.

We had a family party at my mom’s Saturday night, and the boys had a good time playing with their cousin Ellison, once they all warmed up to each other. Love it!

Love, love, love this picture. The boys all snuggled on Larry’s lap. What a great grandpa! (They sure are lucky to have two great sets of grandparents, eh?)

Despite what Oliver’s face is saying here, it was a better day at school. Fewer tears. Whew.
