I get All Saint’s Day off work, so I volunteered in the boys’ cafeteria. Yes, ’tis true. Oliver eats almost nothing. (He did eat his grapes and string cheese, at least…)

Time to trick-or-treat!

Sometimes the boys (here’s Linus) are so stinkin’ cute it’s all I can do not to devour them. Ack, my heart!

At our third annual paint ‘n’ drink wine party, we painted the iconic New Orleans water meter covers. I was going to hang my finished painting in my office, but Miles insisted I hang it above his bed. What can I say? The kid recognizes fine art. Ha!

Sweet baby Fern! My friend had her baby girl last week, and I was so excited to photograph her. She wouldn’t sleep, but she was very calm and adorable. Love the tiny smile on her face here.

I guess that it’s technically cheating to post a picture that someone else took, but ah well. Not the first time.

You want a Tootsie Roll, Miles?

(How awesome is it that my kids love Tootsie Rolls? I consider them nearly the lowest form of Halloween candy out there – maybe starlight mints are worse – but they’re actually treats to the boys! So it’s not so bad when I eat all their Smarties, as long as I leave them all the Tootsie Rolls.)

I now have personal assistants who help me with my grocery shopping. I don’t know that I recommend this.

Look what Aunt Jenny sent the boys! Halloween cards (exhorting them NOT to share their candy with Mommy…hmmph) and various gross boy things like slime, boogers, etc.

The boys painted the pumpkins they got at the pumpkin patch last weekend. Miles’s is hard to see, since he used mostly orange. But all three pumpkins are pirates, as you can (maybe) see. Argh!
