The fifth birthday party
Saturday was the boys’ birthday party. Their fifth party. Whew. And it was a big one. We invited all of their classmates (they’re in three separate classes, remember) plus our other friends and their kids. So yeah, lots of people. And lots of fun! I tried to keep it fairly low key, with no organized activities except for singing Happy Birthday three times, and busting open the big “5” pinata I got.
Oh, and what was the smartest thing I did? Hire someone to take photos, so I wouldn’t have to. Here’s just a few of the hundreds I got back…
Oh, that’s not nearly all of them…

Straight from the horse’s mouth…
…Maury-Frank is baaaack!
I promise I’m not going to post a million pictures of Maury-Frank on my blog this year. But if you want to see some funny Elves, check out the Baby Rabies 2nd Annual Inappropriate Elf contest. Good stuff!

After the boys’ party, we went outside and explored with two of their favorite presents. Binoculars and Nerf guns. Isn’t the shirt adorable? My friend Sara made birthday shirts for the boys for the third year in a row. Love them!

Butternut Squash Crack (minus the goat cheese, sadly.)
I posted the recipe for this here a few days ago, but this time when I made it again, I took a picture of it. And tried to make our kitchen look somewhat decent. Heh.
