Ventured slightly outside of the neighborhood yesterday. Rode up the levee to the Mississippi River Bridge, then down a path that runs under a bridge. Until I started thinking about the packs of stray dogs that wander around that area. Then I turned around. Still, I’m proud of myself for sort of going somewhere else. I’m enjoying this bike riding so much that I’m wondering if one day I might want to try a century ride or a duathalon or something. I only need a more comfortable seat for my bike. Or to toughen up my butt. I have to run five miles today, so no long bike ride for me. I may see if Annie wants to ride across the river (um, well, rather, take the ferry to the other side and ride over there) today or tomorrow.
So far I’ve lost two pounds doing this sort-of Weight Watchers thing. Or I think I have. Well, I’m down two pounds from last week, though I didn’t weigh myself right before starting this diet, er, “lifestyle change.” (Though if it really does remain a “lifestyle change” remains to be seen. Do you think I really could stop eating so much chocolate? I can’t decide if that’s depressing or a good thing.)
