Stuff

Well, I don’t really have much to say new today, I just wanted to post because I’m addicted to comments. So help a poor girl out and comment! Heh.

I should say HI DEBBIE that was a very cheesy comment you left, but it was sweet. Thanks. And everyone else who left sweet/cheesy comments…thanks.

Next Wednesday I go to my next doctor’s appointment. I have no idea what’s going to happen. I don’t think there’s going to be an u/s (darn) and they didn’t give me a cup to bring my pee in (yeah, nice eh? Nothing better than walking around all day with urine in your purse) but I think that may have been an oversight so I’m going to call the doctor to see if I this is a BYOU party. Also, I don’t think they can check the heart rates with a regular heart rate checker thingy, because there are so many in there (but if anyone reading this can dispute that, let me know. I could be wrong.) So I don’t know what he’s going to do. Well, except answer the eighty million questions I have.

Okay, I should talk about non-triplets stuff. How about how we’re going to Virginia in 8 days? Yippeeee! Ellie and Emmy! Yay!

I really should get ready for work now. Probably that’s best, since I’m being v boring this morning.

my regular OB would usually listen for at least one heartbeat with the doppler. I think you’re about 9 or 10 weeks? May not be able to get it at this point. When they get a little bigger you CAN find all three with a regular doppler, but it’s not fool proof. My perinatologist doesn’t even bother. I get an ultrasound at least every other week (though it’s pretty much every week at this point) and they always check at least cervical length and heart rates while I’m there. This is the one definite advantage to triplets… you get to see your babies far more often than if you had a singleton! πŸ™‚

    hi my name is mommy

YAY! I am so excited to find your blog. My triplets are 2 1/2 yrs. old and I miss the journey of being prego. I will not venture to say I wan’t to give it another go myself, but I miss it so watching your journey will be super exciting. It’s not gonna be long before you are having MANY ultrasounds, and hearing the heartbeats of those little angels weekly! My biggest advice if I can just share: take bedrest VERY SERIOUSLY. I am a mover so that was hard for me. Bed rest at home is almost inevidible with triplets and when the day comes(usually around 18-20wks) know that you are much different than a singleton pregnancy and every day of rest for you = another day of strength and viability for your babies. Plus, spending your bedrest days at home is MUCH more tolerable than spending it in the hospital! Ok, sorry for the rant…you asked for comments! LOL I am really excited for you, keep posting! Time will fly so enjoy!!!

Is it bad that I would actually thrive on bedrest? That is my husband’s biggest fear- his wife on bedrest for several weeks b/c he knows that I love my bed more than anything. He doesn’t let me eat in bed anymore (aaah, the single life) which is really sad b/c there is nothing better than DVR and chinese food.Ket

Congrats on the triplet pregnancy! Triplets are such a true gift and blessing. Take it easy and be good to yourself in the months to come. My triplets just turned 3 years old. Time really goes by fast. Nicole

Hi Pam,Can’t blame you for the addiction to comments..it’s nice to hear from people–even strangers, so I’ll chime in with the rest of the group…are you going to your regular OB at this point–hopefully transferring to a perinatologist soon? I was able to have ultrasounds at every dr. appt with my trio–although in the beginning they were vaginal u/s instead of the regular kind (sorry if that was TMI). We went through fertility to get pregnant so I was all too familiar with the stirrups. Anyway, trying to get all the heartbeats with the doppler machine was a pain in the A** because everyone moved around so much! They may not try to do that until you are further along. I much preferred the ultrasound so that we could see everything.Anyway…I look forward to your updates:)And yes…take bedrest VERY SERIOUSLY.
