My daughter loves being outside so that motivates me to exercise. I put her in her stroller and we walk through the park by my house. I’m also motivated to exercise so I can fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.
I just love to work out. I feel icky when I don’t. But on those rare days when that’s not enough motivation for me I have: my health, managing my stress, and the way I look to give me that extra push. Thanks for the opportunity!
My biggest motivation for getting out and moving is my camera. I love to take photography and will walk and stoop and crouch and crawl for hours to get that special shot. All of that movement, while slow, adds up. I am also an avid environmentalist and have found a lot of great exercise in eco-walking (picking up trash and recyclables during neighborhood walks).
I find it VERY hard to exercise! Best excercise I get is in the garden and going up and down the stairs in our house! We love ATVing, fishing, golf, skiing, etc. but don’t do any of it as much as we’d like to!
I envision what my garden will look like when fixed up and then I feel motivated to make it happen and get outside and start gardening . In the winter months I keep my treadmill facing the front window so that I can enjoy the scenery while exercising.
I have trouble getting myself motivated to workout, my best time to workout is at night when everyone is asleep and I’m done eating for the day so I wont be putting anything extra in my body after I workout. Motivating myself is hard, I usually read stories of other women losing tons of weight and it makes me want to work hard so I can be one of those stories.
Since it is getting colder outside, it is difficult to get out and exercise. Instead, I found a Zumba dvd and I am exercising to that indoors. It seems to be working so far!
I try to motivate myself to exercise but it’s hard for me at the moment (I’m having a total knee replacement next month). I will try to do my Wii Fit on the weekends, and ride my recumbent bike 15 minutes a day.
I force myself not to think about it. I bring out my ipod and zone out any lazy thoughts before getting started. Once I’m off, It’s not too much trouble to stay motivated throughout an hour or two.. but it’s initiating that’s always the hardest for me. Keep your eye on the prize! Keep up the good work also!
Trying to be healthy for my kids and making sure that I am here helps keep my motivated and knowing how easy I lose my breath and can’t play with my kids sometimes

Sometimes I feel like I am too tired to exercise, but then I remind myself that I can just start my workout, and allow myself to stop at any time if I really don’t feel into it. I end up going through my whole workout about 98% of the time just by giving myself that option.
I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure for the first time in my life. I started dieting and walking in November last year, and have taken off 75 lbs. I’m trying to make healthier eating choices.
I’ve always been overweight, had a thyroid issue when I was younger but don’t have that situation/excuse anymore. I just need to GET UP AND DO THE EXERCIZE! Argh!
biggest motivator times two is first loss weight has controlled my mild form of hypertension; second motivator is the seasonal clothers that are too saggy to even belt for style. Thanks SW
