What I should be blogging about

Over the past three years, I’ve found myself obsessing over getting my picture of the day, and then neglecting to write down the little day-to-day things I’ll want to remember one day. The whole reason I’ve been keeping this blog, you know?

Like:

– the boys calling the jets in swimming pools “wiggles”. And seriously freaking out if they get near one. “Don’t go by the WIGGLE!” It’s funny, but also kind of frustrating.

– which reminds me that tonight, when Oliver was taking the antibiotic for his ear infection, he made a face indicating he did not like the taste of it. And then he said, “that made my face wiggle.” Hee!

– I brought all three to the pediatrician the other day, and for the first time ever, they all weighed the same. Crazy!

– Miles has this new expression he makes. It’s the cutest thing on earth, and even though I know he’s manipulating me with it, I can’t help but give in to his every desire when he does it. He shrugs his shoulders, raises his eyebrows and opens his eyes really wide and looks off to the side, while grinning with his mouth closed. George and I have started to do it to each other.

– They are obsessed with racecars. I’m trying to figure out how to make inexpensive race car driver costumes for Halloween. I think they’d love that.

– They start school on Wednesday, and I got an email from Linus’s teacher. I can’t wait to find out who the other two have! And of course, I’m really nervous about how they’re going to react to being in different classes. But I’ve assured them they’ll see each other at recess, and that seems to calm their fears a bit. We have a parent meeting on Tuesday night, and I’m not sure how George and I will manage to be in three places at the same time.

– My brother and niece flew in tonight for a visit, and Ellie had the boys in stitches. She’s seven. They thought “princesscakes” was a funny nickname. I love four, but by the looks of it, seven will be pretty fun too.
