This morning, I volunteered at Miles’s school. I learned a few things…
– Miles is known as “Mice”, because that’s what “Miles” sounds like when spoken by a French person.
– Black paint will get everywhere.
– Make sure you can volunteer in all classes before you offer to do it in one class. Unless you want to make 2/3 of your kids mad.
I saw all three together at recess. Oliver and Linus were so happy to see me, but not so happy to see me go with Miles’s class. Sigh.
Every kid in preK, it seems like, wanted me to take a photo of them. I seriously love four year olds.
After I left craft time, I went to pick up the tickets to Boo at the Zoo that we won. Thanks everyone who voted for us! And then I went to visit my friend Megan’s brand new baby. She was born on Tuesday, and I get to photograph her on Sunday. Can’t wait! She is so tiny and squishy.
I’m so busy over the next few days, I’m exhausted just thinking of it. I have to remember to bring costumes with me tomorrow morning, so we can change into them for Boo at the Zoo. We’re going tomorrow night, and I don’t want to have to go home first. And then Saturday morning is the half-marathon, so I need to make sure all of my clothes and gear are ready, and that I have instructions for George on how to meet me at the end. And then Saturday evening is MADONNA! And Sunday is photographs of the aforementioned squishy.
Whew. Tired?
(And yes, MADONNA! Did I mention that yet? My awesome friend Terry got tickets for her birthday, and she’s taking me! Eeep!)

I have a 23 year old son named Miles. When Miles was a baby, I was driving his older brother’s carpool. One of the little boys in the carpool said: “I was just wondering. Why did you name him ‘mouse?'” I hadn’t thought about that in many years until I saw your post!!

wow, must be difficult for the teacher identify them, apart that they’re identical, there are lots of little boys dressed the same way =)
