This weekend was full of those moments that filled me with happiness. Gotta take them where you can. We went swimming, had a birthday party, and I even got to go see a movie by myself.

Maybe my favorite picture in a long, long time. I mean, collage of pictures. Genuine smiles! They were waiting on beignets at the birthday party.

Yum! And beignets were a new food for them, so yay for trying new things, even if it was a deep fried square of dough dusted in powdered sugar. I may have disowned them if they hadn’t tried them.

Speaking of new foods, for breakfast Saturday, I made oatbran muffins in a donut mold, and they were gobbled up. Woo hoo!
