Happy Trick or Treat!

That’s how the boys greeted each house we went up to tonight. I have to say, trick or treating this year was so fun. They overcame their shyness after a couple of houses (all it took was for them to see they were getting CANDY) and then were running from house to house, yelling “Happy Trick or Treat!” Ahh, my heart. It was so cute.

And since tomorrow people will already be sick of hearing about Halloween, I want to share some other pictures from our weekend now, before it’s too late.

Sunday, we went to the zoo with Ren and her girls (and her niece) and since she said they were wearing their costumes, I brought the boys’ in case they decided to wear them. They did, and I’m glad because they were even cuter in person than I could have hoped. Or maybe I’m biased. Naah!

But first we had lunch with some other friends, and I have to share this picture of Chloe…what a gorgeous kid. She is going to break at least one of my boys’ hearts.

So, on to the zoo. They had all kinds of fun/creepy animals, and much to my chagrin, the boys wanted to pet a rat’s tail. Blech. Oh yeah, NOW they get brave…

I took them on the train, and while trying to get a picture of all three sitting, in their costumes, they FREAKED OUT. They thought I was going to get left behind. Sigh.

Hee hee hee! Miles. He makes me laugh.

At least Ren was able to get this one with my phone.

After the zoo, we went to a neighborhood Halloween party, but I was too wiped out to take many pictures. The boys’ favorite part was the cookie-decorating table. Surprise, surprise.

Today, I tried to get a picture of the boys in front of the construction across the street, but a bunch of the workmen were smiling and pointing at them, so they got shy and wouldn’t let me. But one of the workers came over and brought them three pairs of sunglasses. Love!

I was able to get this one in front of school:

After school, we played outside for a while and I was able to get a shot in front of the construction. Man, I cannot wait for this to be finished.

Soon after, we were on our way to trick or treat, but having to hold the hands of three little boys precluded me from taking pictures. Trust me, it was cute.

And now I have THREE bags of candy to raid! Mwah ha ha ha ha…

Yee-haw, Cowboy!

The family Halloween picture. George was a monk. Why? Because he let me shave his head in a funny way. And he had a long dark robe from Halloweens past.

The boys were Woody x3, and I rigged up a Jessie costume. Which, with the “chaps” makes for a very unflattering costume. Ha ha! But it was fun. The boys had a great time Trick or Treating, and eating candy afterward.

Busy weekend

We did so much this weekend! I’m going to make this a picture-heavy post. It was a rough morning involving breathing treatments and wheezing, so I am not really wanting to type much.

Friday night, we went to a party at a friend’s house. It was outside, in their backyard, so the boys were freaked out. (It was a bit dark for them.) Owing to the fact that I had two boys on my lap, no pictures were taken. Thank goodness I have friends that brought me a glass of wine and some chargrilled oysters. That made up for it a bit.

Saturday, George and I took the boys to the children’s museum. It was fun, except for the moment we realized the wagon was gone. I found it a few terror-filled minutes later. Some kid must’ve taken it and then abandoned in in another part of the museum. Kids love that thing.

Daddy and Linus

Saturday night, we went to a dinner party at a restaurant that George’s parents had.

Sunday, I took the boys to the aquarium to meet a friend with her twin boys. That was fun! Except for when I pulled Oliver away from the Nemo tank. That was not fun.

And then Sunday night was Boo at the Zoo. The boys were monkeys. I was a bunch of bananas. Oliver refused to wear his hat. Ah well.

The end!

Happy Halloween!

Yay for Halloween! I guess everyone knows what the boys are going to be for Halloween, since there are pictures of them in their costumes right there to the right in the Flickr box. But just in case you are reading this from Google Reader or something, here’s a quick picture that I took on Monday just to try them on:

Aww, looky at my sweet babies! Get it? Sweet? Heh. Yeah.

Will update later with pictures from tonight. Yay!

Blog is back!

Moved the blog back here, as it won’t be a training blog anymore. At least not until the next marathon…

This weeked I worked at the ticket booth for the neighborhood home tour, and met a woman, Romie, who belongs to a running group called the 26.2 Krewe. Or something like that. I’ve seen then running around Lafreniere Park. I’m thinking about joining them. She’s supposed to send me some information. Who knows, maybe I’ll do the Mardi Gras Marathon after all! But I’ll keep the blog here for now, anyway.

Dressed up as a witch for Halloween, along with everyone else in our department. As a whole we won the “Most Original” prize in the costume contest. (Yeah, a bunch of witches…but we sang a song…) Our prize is a $50 gift certificate to the bar at the Windsor Court. Ooooh, fancy! But there were nine of us, so we may be able to afford a Sprite each. Ha. After work went to a Halloween party on my street. Fun. Hot dogs. Yum.

George and I went and saw Love Actually, a British romantic comedy. We loved it. It really was great, highly recommend. We saw a sneak preview, I think it’ll be out in two weeks or something.
