I posted something via e-mail yesterday, but it never showed up. Never mind, I doubt it was very interesting. Not that I have something interesting to say today, or anything. Hmm. Tonight I’m going bowling. That’s interesting! I haven’t been bowling in many years, even though I keep thinking I want to go. So that’ll be fun. I’m going with the Barnes & Noble girls. I haven’t seen them since George and I had to run out of Mandy’s wedding with his tongue swelling up. Pleasant. I hope she didn’t see that.
And we have Monday off. Yay! Working for the Catholics rule! Lucky George has Monday and Tuesday off, for election day. I wish. Anyway, on Monday, if the weather is nice (I already know it probably won’t be cool) we’re going to take the streetcar to City Park (stopping en route to get ice cream at Angelo Brocato’s) and wander around the new sculpture garden, go to the New Orleans Museum of Art, and then walk to Whole Foods and get the fixings for a picnic. At least that’s the plan. Sounds idyllic, doesn’t it? I hope we really do all that.
Last night I worked on my costume. Made a tutu out of many layers of black tulle. Excitingly, I figured out how to make my mom’s sewing machine work. Well, it’s mine now. Anyway, now I can sew things! Not that I will, mind you, but I could if I wanted! Like my knitting, I will probably only sew square things. Like pillows and stuff like that. No clothes or anything. I am just not that ambitious. But maybe I could try something easy, like a straight skirt or something. Except I don’t like straight skirts. Hmm.
Saturday night, George and I are going to a party of someone I used to work with. Thank goodness I have somewhere to wear my costume! I was getting worried.
