Hmm. Now that the excitement of the party and my trip to Durham are over, I have not much to say. Let me think…
Well, actually, Saturday was sort of exciting. After going to another engagement party, we went to a jewelry store to find out if George would be able to wear my dad’s ring as his wedding band. The store was so awesome – the jeweler first said he could stretch it out, without messing up the engraving inside. As long as my dad had never had it resized, that is. Turns out, he had. So while they were stretching it, it popped. So now they’re going to add a little gold to fix it, and then send it out to fix the engraving that got cut in half. No biggie, and they’re only charging me $18! Eighteen dollars! What a bargain! Thanks, Dad!
(One may say it is unfair that George had to buy not one, but two diamond rings for me, and I only have to pay $18. But I say, I have to wear a dress that costs at least ten times more than he will pay for a rented tux. Not to mention every other wedding cost. So there.)
Tonight we’re going on a date. George says I get to pick the restaurant. Must be something light since tomorrow morning will be my first weigh in in two weeks, and after a week of eating
off plan. I’m thinking somewhere with raw oysters. Mmmm….
