***WARNING: LOTS OF GROSS STUFF INSIDE***DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T HAVE KIDS BUT PLAN TO ONE DAY***
It all started yesterday, maybe. Daycare called me to get Linus, they said he was having an asthma attack. But when I went to get him, he was fine. Usually when this happens, I only get the sick one, but Miles and Oliver saw me, and I had to bring them home too, for fear of mass hysteria breaking out at daycare.
So we all came home. I gave Linus a breathing treatment just in case. All was well. We played. George came home. I fed them dinner. Perhaps this is really when it all started?
At 7ish, we put the boys to bed. Linus and Miles were not having any of it. They were pissed. Linus was screaming bloody murder, so I ended up getting him and bringing him into the living room to watch Project Runway with Teresa and me. Finally, at around 8:30, he went to sleep.
And then at 10:30, he woke up screaming again. Went to get him, and I theorized that he was constipated. He was absolutely inconsolable, so I called the ped, who gave me some suggestions. Not five minutes after I got off the phone with her, I hear more crying in their room. I figured it was Miles, since he’d been upset earlier. But no. As soon as I open the door, I’m hit with a wall of stench. You know the smell.
Puke.
And it was Oliver. Oliver?? I was shocked. He’d gone to bed without a fuss! So we got him out of bed, I changed his sheets and his jammies, wiped him down, and after a little while, put him and Linus (who by this point had pooped some and seemed okay) back in bed. Called the ped to update her, and she said it was either something they ate or a virus.
Please god, let it be something they ate. Because if it’s a virus, it’s a day or two of puking followed by a week of diarrhea.
Gaaah!
So at around 1:30, George and I attempt to go to sleep. There is more puking. I lost count how many times I changed sheets and jammies. Miles puked at around 5 am, and then we were all up for the day. There was another puking incident somewhere in there too.
Isn’t this fun? They all went down for a nap a few hours ago, and by the sounds of it, they’re waking up again now. I’m scared to go into their room. Linus hasn’t puked yet (knock on wood) so my new theory is that it was the yogurt that only Miles and Oliver ate last night at dinner. But it was literally only a spoonful each, so I dunno.
Please, please, please let there be no vomit!
Cross your fingers for me. And your toes.

Oh NO! Puking and stomach viruses are one of my biggest fears. We had one instance of puking a few days ago that struck fear deep in my heart, but it didn’t turn into anything or spread to the others. I am so sorry!!!!

I complained about my one kid puking on my blog a while back.
I take it back. All of it. You gave me perspective. Lol.
Hope it heals quickly.

Ohhhh Pam. I’m so sorry! Poor babies! Just to make you feel better – the last Pukies we had were a George-only occurrence. Gavin looked/felt bad for a day or so, but never hurled. And, the first time in their lives when they did both puke w’in hours of one another, it was just the one puke each. So let’s hope Linus will be okay!!!! And that sweeties Miles and Linus will be okay soon! Crossing everything!

Hi Pam! I have been a follower of your blog for a while, but first time commenter. 🙂 My hubby and I have a 19 month old daughter and (almost) 3 month old triplet boys that the doctor’s *think* are identical. I had 1 placenta (not fused) and 3 amniotic sacs. My pediatrician won’t test the boys until they are a year old, but I am about to die to know if they are or are not…. not that it will make a difference… I will love them just the same 🙂 Did you have DNA testing done? If so, did you go through doctors & have to have the boys’ blood drawn?
Thanks for being so great and blogging all the time… even if it is about puke! Hope the boys are feeling better soon!!!! Hope to hear from you – ya know, in your spare time 😉
