I haven’t posted a “real” post in a while, so while I have a few minutes before Modern Family starts, I’ll see what I can do. (A couple of weeks ago, that wouldn’t have been a big deal. But we got rid of cable, and now I have to watch shows when they come on. Gasp!)
This’ll be all over the place, so bear with me.
Miles and Oliver fought over a chair at daycare yesterday, and it ended up in the cut shown in yesterday’s picture. As I posted, we waited five hours to get seen, and then after maybe ten minutes with the doctor (who glued the cut), we were on our way home. Ugh.
So many times I was just going to say “let’s go”, but since the cut was on his face, I thought it was important to get seen to. Even though it’ll likely be hidden by his eyebrows, is it wrong or selfish for me to want them to look identical just a little bit longer? I know as they get older, scars will happen, and they’ll start to look more and more different, but for now, I’m still enjoying the novelty of three boys that look alike.
Anyway, that’s done. But this morning, he was extremely grumpy after only six hours of sleep, so Linus and Oliver went to school while Miles and I got a little more shut-eye. And then we took him and Linus to the pediatrician for the cough they’ve had. Fortunately, their lungs are fine, and it’s just a cold. But HOLY HELL he was grumpy today. Man. Yet again, I bow down to stay-at-home moms. And I didn’t even have all three at home today!
In other news, Miles is turning out to be quite the artist. He drew these today:

Impressive, yes?
In yet other news, it looks like I won’t ever have to hire cleaners.

On Friday, I’m getting an epidural spinal injection for my herniated disk. While the pain has improved since it started two months ago, it still bothers me, and I’ll be glad to have it gone for good. Fingers crossed the procedure works! I hope I don’t get that weird twinge-y feeling I got when I had a spinal block done for my c-section. It was similar to when you accidentally chew on a bit of foil (if you have a mouth full of fillings like me.) Ick.
I wish I had more pictures to share, but I feel like I’m taking (or at least saving) fewer pictures, trying for quality instead of quantity.
Potty-training is going well…hardly any accidents anymore. Yay!
I guess that’s all I have for now….

Impressed, um YES! That is seriously amazing! We have yet to experience any identifiable objects in our child’s drawing.
I hope your procedure goes well!
PS–love the random long posts. Makes me feel less crazy since that’s all I am capable of doing.
