Weight loss, always a chore. I would love the $100 gift card, and I’m going to check out Jenny Craig as well.

Good luck with the program, Pam!! My healthy tip is to not drink your calories. I love a good fountain soda, but limit them to two a month and stick to water daily!

    Great job! Keep it up!

Portion control is huge for me. If I’m eating out, I automatically order something that I can also eat as leftovers the following day.

Good for you Pam! Key for me is to make sure that I am snacking all day with healthy options that are filling like low fat cheese and an apple so I am never starving…b/c that is when I grab what is easy and make bad choices. Also, if i am working out regularly I feel good about myself and don’t want to sabotage all that good work with bad food. I can’t wait to hear about the rest of your Jenny Craig journey!

Good luck, sounds like a good plan. I find portion control and a good steady fast pace walk helps to take the weight off. I’m at the menopause stage of life and it just seems like the pounds keep packing on and they are a lot harder to get off. I’m determined to keep trying……keep up the good work!

    Good luck, Pam!

I have two toddlers, and I made it a rule never to eat “their” food. That means no bites of grilled cheese, no handfuls of goldfish crackers, no sneaking Teddy Grahams. I try to buy only healthy stuff as “my” food so I am forced to eat that 🙂

I have found keeping a food journal and counting calories works. Right now I’m not dieting. I’m just exercising more (daily walking).

Good luck with the program. My healthy tip is to drink a full glass of water before reaching for a snack when you feel like you are hungry…this way you can be sure are just not thirsty.

my best healthy life tip is drink water with everything!! take some swigs after a few bites of food, drink it with snacks, etc. you’ll be able to guage how full you truly are faster than if you relied on the food alone.

Good work! My healthy tip is just to be sensible. I like to indulge in something every so often but the majority of the time make really healthy and practical eating decisions. I also like to wake up early 4-5 days a week to exercise before my children get up. It gets it out of the way and also makes me feel better for the rest of the day!

My favorite healthy lifestyle is to stock the fridge and pantry with healthy snacks and no junks. When your choices of snacks are all healthy food, you’re off to a great start. Keeping them in small portion is also important.

I’m trying to drink lots of water daily and cut back on sweets. That’s my weakness. I’m also trying to eat more fruit and vegetables.

I don’t do a lot of cooking so I like that the meals are already prepared and you just have to pop them into the microwave. I think eating small meals throughout the day is a good idea because it would keep me from becoming hungry.

A TEN MINUTE WALK EACH DAY CAN DO A LOT MORE FOR YOU THAN YOU’D IMAGINE. IT REALLY HELPS IN THAT INITIAL WEIGHT LOSS, I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE.

At our house we eat what is easiest and that means I only purchase food that is good for us. If we have chips we eat them–so I do not buy them. I always have fresh fruits and vegetable strips as options when hunger attacks.

Aww what a cute photo! My tip is to use an exercise program that you can even do at home, I like using Wii Fit, but there are other workout programs you can use with a Wii, very helpful!
