Each month, I take a photo of the boys on the 4th of the month.
Month 105
Due to inclement weather, we had to take this month’s picture inside. And due to our small living room, the proportions of this picture are a bit off as well.
How did I get those smiles, you might ask? I just pulled out my old trick from when they were toddlers and yelled, “POOP!” Worked like a charm.
Also, they look a lot more alike in black and white.
Number 104
The boys and I are in Los Angeles, visiting my brother, sister-in-law, and niece. We’re all loving the mild weather, and I love that Ellie made another appearance in the monthly pics.
I really wanted to use one of the pictures I took against the hedge wall they have alongside the driveway, but this is the kind of tomfoolery I had to deal with.
So. Sitting on the front porch, it is.
Month 103
Yep, Linus is back to brown. And Oliver was supposed to be, but when I saw his lip quiver after I pulled the box of brown dye out, I just couldn’t do it. I gave him a boost of blue instead, but the understanding that in a few weeks, it’s back to brown. (And Linus’s is too light, I need to fix that too.)
Anyway, happy Fourth of July!

Some silly stats about the monthly pics so far…
- 8 taken on the wrong day (gasp!) (usually because I was out of town and couldn’t take it myself)
- 23 taken on the loveseat
- 29 taken on the side of the house
- 1 taken underwater
- 4 special guests (Ziggy, Ellie, Millie, Daddy)
- 1 taken by someone else (I decided it was better to be taken on the right day than by me. Larry took one when George and I were in England last summer.)
- 6 taken out of town

Oliver clearly likes to be in the middle, when possible. (60%)
Linus is first 48% of the time. Miles is, 33% of the time, and Oliver just 19%Miles is rarely in the middle, just 18% of the time.
What does this all mean? Heck if I know.
April 4, 2016 {number 100!}
When I started taking monthly pics of the boys, I didn’t know when I was going to stop. I still don’t.
It’s possible I went a little overboard this month. But I had fun, and even got the boys actually looking forward to the monthly picture, which has never happened.

Just one more month til the big 100! What am I going to do? How am I going to make this special? Well. I have a whole month to decide. Heh.

98 months!
Getting close to the magic 100, and I’m trying to think of some way to make it special, in spite of the fact that it’s going to be a Monday morning. Hmm.
It was also pretty cold out, but Miles refused to wear a jacket, so his goofy face is probably the only thing keeping him warm.
January 4, 2016 {97 months}
A change of scenery this month. Spied this nice wall on the side of a house (which gossip says was purchased by Linda Hamilton, but who knows if that is true) while out walking Ziggy.
If you think it’s hard to get three boys to cooperate, imagine adding a dog in the mix.
