Blowing bubbles, wearing the Department of Justice t-shirts my cousin sent them a while back. They love their “eagle” shirts. Isn’t it funny that the Department of Justice sells t-shirts in toddler sizes? I wouldn’t have thought there’d be a big demand for them, but I guess this picture proves that there is!
I’m an artist, doncha know
The other night, my local triplet group had our monthly meeting at one of those paint and drink places. You know, they’re called “[booze reference] & [painting reference]”. The place we did ours was called “Sip & Paint” and it was so much fun!
Now, I may be doing okay with my photography, and I may do graphic design, but I cannot draw and I cannot paint. But we got great instruction (and plenty of wine) so now I can tell myself I *can* paint!
Here’s how my picture came along:
My final picture. I made the address the boys’ birthday, but I messed up. It was going to be just 1204 at first, but then it was off center, and I couldn’t make it 120407, that’s too long to be an address, so I just made it 12047. 12407 would have been better. That will bug me forever. 😛

Everyone’s pictures. They’re all a little bit different. Fun!

Our weekend
We had a really fun, busy weekend. I love weekends like that, but I have to admit, by the time bedtime rolled around last night, I was d.o.n.e.
So let’s see…it started bright ‘n’ early Saturday with breakfast at IHOP with my friend Anne and her little boy Whitman, and Anne’s sister Becky and her daughter Lexie. Becky’s husband joined us too. It wasn’t a huge success…I didn’t bring snacks and breakfast took a while to get to the table. The result:
Times three.
After breakfast, we all headed to Toys R Us because there was a Thomas event going on, and Whitman is a HUGE Thomas fan. (He’s on the left here)

Then we headed home for a while, to rest up before the birthday party of a friends’ twins. That party was at City Park’s Storyland, and the boys had a blast. Woo hoo!
And THEN, to cap off a crazy awesome day, we headed to Baton Rouge to see Grandee and Larry! As fun as pancakes, Thomas and cake is, NOTHING beats Grandee and Larry’s house! (Or Granny & Grandpa’s for that matter…)
There was chalk to draw with, and boats to watch on the pond and balls to roll around on…the boys slept *good* that night. 🙂
The next morning, we hung around the house for a while. Larry read the boys a story…

and then we went to yet another party, where they climbed and jumped and ate a ton of cake.
After the party, we headed home, exhausted. And the boys woke up this morning, asking, “we go to a happy birthday party today?”
Melt!
