So this is an awesome story. Really heart-warming, and I want to share it with everyone.
My friend Shawna has a daughter named Delaney. She’s 14 years old (do you remember being 14? I do, and I wasn’t thinking of many people other than myself and Michael Hutchence) and has a little brother named Grant who has Mitochondrial Disease.

I posted about it on my blog, and also on my personal FB page as well as my fan page. http://thescooponpoop.wordpress.com/2011/08/22/raising-awareness-about-mitochondrial-disease/

Hi! My son also has Mito and it’s amazing to see someone so young understanding it so well and teaching others. It’s enlightening and together we can all raise more awareness about Mito and all the conditions that fall under it’s “umbrella.” Of course I also blogged about this and posted it several times to my fb page. Thanks for being another voice in helping to raise awareness for our kids.
