HP!

It’s Harry Potter day! It’s Harry Potter day! (sorta)

I’m fully planning on being at Barnes & Noble, in line, buying my book, at midnight tonight. This is going to require some careful strategizing, much like Kristina and I had to do when the first movie came out. However, this time the strategizing will involve naps, whereas the last time, with the movie, it was all about hydration. And not having to get up in the middle of the movie to pee.

I really wish I could get someone to go with me tonight, but I don’t think anyone I know is that stupid. Darn.

  1. I’m that stupid. At Borders we get our own wands. I’m entering Rob in the spelling bee.

  2. Oh, I’ll gladly be the Harry to your Ginny Weasley…the Ron to your Hermione…the Buckbeak to your Hagrid. I’m definitely there in spirit! Can’t wait to spend the weekend reading HP. Happy horcrux finding!

  6. At Christmas I waited in the freezing cold for 4 1/2 hours to get a Wii. The store said they would sell the 7 they received that day starting at midnight. I got there at 8pm (third in line) and waited. At about 1230 the manager came outside (yes, even though the temp was in the 30s we had to wait outside) and told us that there was a problem. Their computers wouldn’t allow them to put the Wiis in their system until 8 in the morning. DOH!!!I like my kid and all, but not that much. I went home.We got a Wii through another source on Christmas Eve. Rule!

  8. Hey Pam, some friends of ours are lining up at Barnes and Noble too! Their names are Tom and Kate Stevens (no relation) (to me – they’re related to each other) (by marriage) (ahem.) and they have a 2 month old baby (yes, they’re bringing her) so if you see a couple that looks friendly, go say hi and tell them you know me!
