Filling in the gaps

It’s been so long since I’ve done a non-photo of the day post, so here’s where I’ll fill in the gaps. Some days we actually do more than one thing, but since I only post one picture, you miss out on SO MUCH of the SHEER EXCITEMENT of our days!

Like, say, last weekend. I mean, Memorial Day weekend. Before I went to Boise. On Saturday, I took the boys to my friend Terry’s house to go swimming. But I didn’t get to show you this picture

which shows two of my children in the pool. What you can’t see is Linus, who is off to the side, refusing to get in. Okay, that’s not very exciting. But I just ordered them some Puddle Jumpers, so I hope this weekend we’ll get a chance to try them out. I’m also looking into swimming lessons for later this summer, but I need to find someone who will buy an arm and a leg. Any takers?

You also missed this bonus crawfish picture from the graduation party we attended later that evening:

On Sunday, we went to my cousin’s house for yet another graduation party. After the boys watched some of the Indy 500 (RACE CARS!!!), we walked to a park in their neighborhood to play. It was punishingly hot, but it seems that 3 year olds don’t feel the heat.

After the party, we went to another, bigger park, but the playground was packed, so we went to the Sculpture Garden instead.

The next day, I left for Boise, and I won’t subject you to any more photos of that trip (even though it’s beautiful, I know yall only want to see the boys. I get it.) So aside from a party we went to on Sunday, that’s about all that’s been going on here lately. And I forgot my camera battery at the party. The picture I took of the boys on the bench was with my lens and my flash, but my friend’s camera. Well, here’s just one more, of the boys and the plants they got to take home.

plants!
